Asia forwarding Agency was established in 1972 – the same year where Malaysia was planning to enter the containerisation era to meet the challenges and changes in the Malaysian shipping industry. In the early years of our formation, the company focussed on customs brokerage and cargo clearance including cargo transportation from port to factory and vice versa. The bouyant economy of the seventies and the early eighties and the impressive economic growth achieved by the nation saw many new entrants into the industry, thus intensifying rivalry and competition.

In 1984, based on our practical experience, we acquired strength in light of changing customer’s need, the company made a strategic decision to broaden our scope to include transportation services which were synergistic, with the aim to cater superior quality service to our clients. These included shipping and ship chartering, warehousing, and open storage.

In shipping, we provide agency services to regional and international ship owners and consortium of ship operators and also arranging for booking of shipping space for cargo owners.

In chartering, we source vessels and barges from regional and international markets and arrange for charter party for our clients.

In warehousing, we provide warehouse space for cargo storage, consolidation, stuffing and unstuffing, crating, casing, bundling and other value added services.

Throughout the years our company has developed and evolved into a specialist in handling project cargo for our local as well as international clientele.
